Dr. Azreen Ariff Bin Zulkefleeholds a PhD in Built Environment, with a focus on the safety compliance
behaviour of foreign labourers in the construction industry. His research has been published in numerous
peer-reviewed journals, contributing valuable insights into improving safety standards and understanding
compliance behaviour in high-risk environments. With a deep interest in psychology and body language, Dr. Azreen combines his expertise in safety compliance with an understanding of human behaviour. His interdisciplinary approach allows him to deliver powerful insights into how nonverbal cues and psychological factors play a significant role in workplace safety and communication.
Dr. Azreen is a distinguished academician and industry expert with over 12 years of experience spanning construction, education, and professional training. His academic journey also includes an MSc in Construction Management from Loughborough University, UK, and a BSc in Quantity Surveying from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His diverse qualifications include certifications as a Provisional Quantity Surveyor (BQSM), Graduate Technologist (MBOT), and Cubicost Certified Trainer, showcasing his commitment to excellence and innovation in his field.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, Dr. Azreen teaches e- Construction, Building Services, Construction Technology, and Project Management. Prior to this, he was a Lecturer at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), where he specialized in Quantity Surveying, Professional Practice, and Contract Administration. He also worked with D’Perception International Sdn Bhd on various commercial projects, including office and retail spaces.
